Hi,
Can someone confirm the following please:
1. It is not possible to use the HSRP address as the NTP server address on NTP clients. If this is possible has anyone seen a sample configuration on CCO.
2. When configuring daylight saving and timezones on an NTP server the information will not be propagated to NTP clients.
Thanks in Advance,
Rafiq.

Re question number two:
NTP messages are exchanged citing Universal Coordinated Time (UTC - Universeel Temps Coordinee). DST setting and timezones are local environemnt settings and applied as adjustments to UTC.

Re question number one:
The high availability NTP configuration example (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/switches/ps700/products_tech_note09186a008010e97e.shtml ) uses a pair of MSFCs in a single Cat6000 chassis that are configured as an HSRP pair. The example recommends using the loopback address as opposed to the HSRP address, but the basic concept of using an HSRP set for NTP HA is validated, in my estimation. This is implied in the wite paper; to wit: "An alternate configuration for redundancy would have MSFCs in different chassis configured as NTP servers, so that if one chassis fails, the other continues to function as the NTP server."
Hope this helps. Please rate helpful posts.

Since you can enter multiple ntp servers I would enter the real IP's of both routers in the HSRP group.
Cheers,
Michel
