What does Cisco Certified Network Engineer Test?

What do network engineers do? What? Cisco certification includes CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCIP, CCVP, CCIE and other certifications of different levels, different contents and different directions. CCNA, CCNP and CCIE are the three certification examinations that are commonly used and have a large social demand. What did they take? Today, let's introduce it in detail.

CCNA test content

Cisco certification exam mainly covers Cisco network equipment interconnection (ICND). In the new version of the certification system, CCNA does not subdivide the certification direction. All the original directions of CCNA (except cyber OPS) are merged and only one subject is tested. The main types of questions are single choice, multiple choice and drawing questions. The main examination contents include: wide area network design ideas and principles, OSI seven layer model, common operations of intelligent Ethernet switches or routers, password recovery and IOS update of Cisco routers and switches, connecting Cisco switches and routers according to the given network design specifications, and configuring the routing protocols supported by routers, such as rip, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.

Content of CCNP examination

The new version of CCNP mainly includes CCNP enterprises, CCNP data centers, CCNP security, CCNP service providers, and CCNP collaboration. Different directions have different test subjects and test outlines, and the test has also changed from the previous three tests to the 1+1 mode, that is, one core test + one optional test.

Take the EI direction as an example. In the EI direction, the core exam focuses on your knowledge of enterprise extrusion organizations, including dual stack (IPv4 and IPv6) architecture, virtualization, infrastructure, network assurance, security automation, etc.

CCIE examination content

The CCIE written examination part mainly includes ie examination classic, deploying VPN network, advanced routing features, deploying multicast network, etc; In the CCIE Lab, the main learning contents include TS (troubleshooting), diag (diagnosis) fault diagnosis and CFG (configuration), which are divided into two training stages.

The written test lasts for 2 hours, and the CCIE Lab Test lasts for 8 hours.

CCIE Lab test is divided into three modules. TS (troubleshooting) troubleshooting focuses on the ability to troubleshoot network faults. The exam simulates the network environment. For example, if a server cannot be accessed, you can find out the problems and solve them. It needs to be configured on the equipment; Diag (diagnose) fault diagnosis to investigate the network fault analysis capability. There is no equipment operation in this module. The examination room will give you network requirements and problems, give you equipment configuration and log information, and let you analyze the causes of network failures; CFG (configuration) configuration, investigate the ability to build the network, give the requirements and topology of the examination room, and complete the network construction as required.
