All Licensing not working after reboot of FMC

So I backup my FMC, shut it down gracefully, gave it some more RAM, Changed the NIC to vmxnet3, and restarted. Now all the devices are showing as unlicensed. 

What the heck happened?

Are you using smart licensing, check FMC have reachable to internet. Check from the cli.

classic license is generated with PAK and is registered with you FMC license key number.
I doubt when you you change the nic it may be changed.

Yes I had all my licensing prior to my shutdown. So not sure what happened.

try adding back the old nic

If you change the nic your license key will get change.
License key is unique and its generated from mac id of interface. So in your case license key got changed when you change the NIC thats why u lose the licenses.

Rehost the licenses using new license key.

The license key used for Classic licenses is the FMC model type ("66" for FMCv) plus the MAC address on the FMC's network interface. Changing the network interface type will change the MAC address (unless you manually override it in ESXi or vCenter).

As previous posts in this thread have highlighted the FMC's license key is bound to the MAC address of the management VMNIC. 

There are two ways to resolve this:

1) Hard code the new VMNIC with the old MAC address.

2) Delete the FMC from your company's SMART account (virtual account) Inventory and then re-add it
