Any discounts offered by Cisco for open source use?

it is my understanding that i can only get software updates with a service contract.

I am using an ASA 5505 for hobby projects and can't justify a service contract. Do you offer any discounts for open source use, or, perhaps a way to purchase one-off firmware/software upgrades on a piecemeal basis rather than having to subscribe to a subscription model? If not are there any future plans for such a service?

It has been possible to purchase one off software images in the past for other products - but it is usually no cheaper than buying a SmartNet for a year, so pretty much no one does that.
