Anyconnect Essentials VPN License

Hi,

I have recently informed by Cisco partner that, ASA5585-S20P20XK9 part no. is going out of sale and replacement part no. is ASA5585-S20F20XK9, which is available with same features suggested by cisco.

But when I have checked that, "AnyConnect Essentials VPN License - ASA 5585-X (Max Users) part no ASA-AC-E-5585 " was available with previous Model (ASA5585-S20P20XK9 ) and is not available with replacement model (ASA5585-S20F20XK9) but in both model "ASA 5500 AnyConnect Client + Cisco Security Desktop Software" is available.

My doubt is whether Anyconnect VPN can be configured in replacement/new model or not.  or Is Anyconnect License inbuild with replacement part no.

It's only the Licensing that changed. The new AnyConnect Plus license (the replacement for Essentials) is licensed by the user-count that use the client. More info is available in the ordering guide:

The BOM you posted does not include any AnyConnect license.

Hi Goutam,

On your new device run the following command.

show vpn-session license-summary/summary.

This will going to provide you the license info on the firewall for differnet vpn setup. You can also share the details for above command.
