Hi folks,
I wish someone can share an experience installing FirePower NGIPS VM on VMWare ESX.
I downloaded an archive for ver 6.0.0 - Cisco_Firepower_NGIPSv_VMware-6.0.0-1005.tar.gz
Then I used WinZIP to extract it and ended up with 5 files:
Cisco_Firepower_NGIPSv_VMware-6.0.0-1005-disk1.vmdk
Cisco_Firepower_NGIPSv_VMware-ESXi-6.0.0-1005.mf
Cisco_Firepower_NGIPSv_VMware-ESXi-6.0.0-1005.ovf
Cisco_Firepower_NGIPSv_VMware-VI-6.0.0-1005.mf
Cisco_Firepower_NGIPSv_VMware-VI-6.0.0-1005.ovf
Then as usual I deploy a new VM from VMWare vCenter pointing it to OVF file and it fails complaining to the integrity or possible corruption of OVF file. Absolutely the same happens if I try to deploy a VM for FirePOWER Management Center.
Any ideas what could be wrong or it is still corrupted archive on Cisco downloads?

Replying to my own post. It is all good now. Lesson learned, don't use WinZIP to extract the tar.gz archive. WinRAR is the way to go. For some reason it corrupts files inside the archive.

I'm grateful for this post as I ran into the same issue with Winzip. Thank you for reporting your findings!
