From ASDM, tried to reload the box, now, no file save.
Details window says reload started, then stops "waiting for file save" to complete (which I told it NOT to do).
It tore down my tunnel, and the ASDM will no longer connect.
I can SSH to it, but not proficient enough in CMD to know how to "cancel the reload" (ASDM screen said it couldn't be cancelled since it had already started).
So my ASA is 800 miles away, I can't get to it nor my network at that end.
Only solution I know of is to have my neighbor go "power switch" reboot the thing to get it working... not a good choice.
Anybody know how, from CMD, to cancel the "save" and reboot the bloody box ?
Thanks

To reboot SSH into the box. If you don't get an "enabled" prompt, type "enable" and type in the password, and then execute the "reload" command.

Phil,
Did that. Box said reload was already in progress.
Tried 'reload cancel', but it said it was waiting for some file to finish writing.
It's been trying to write that file for 3-4 hours. Hence, it's locked up.
I need to cancel that 'write', then reload the box without it trying to write anything.

Try "reload quick".

Phil,
Tried that one too.
Same result.

It's going to need a manual power cycle sorry.
