ASA 5515 can`t ping internal IPS

Dear all,
am having cisco ASA 5515-X IPS  with internal IPS.
I did the initial config for ASA and session IPS too configuration (same network), but i can`t ping from the ASA to the embedded IPS. Do route needed or not?
I need a resource for initial config ip address and accessing for both ASA and IPS.

thanks

Hi Mohammed,

There is no route needed if the IP address is in same subnet of ASA interface. Make sure that the management interface is UP.

Use the link below to understand different scenarios you could use to have management access to IPS. in -x series :

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/ips-sensor-software-version-71/113690-ips-config-mod-00.html

Rate if it helps.
