ASA 5515-X IPS migrate to FirePower

Hello,

We use a high availablity set of 2 ASA5515's . Both ASA's are featured and running IPS (see screenshot) . Should an SSD be purchased for migration to firepower? What is needed for this migration?

Hello, Daniel:

As you mentioned, it is indeed necessary on this firewall models to have an SSD per firewall in order to install the module. Also, the IPS module will need to be removed, since there can't be 2 modules running on the firewall at the same time (so far, I don't know if future software or hardware versions will be able to).

Besides from that, there should not be anything else needed to be able to install the modules, so you can get guidance with this document.
