ASA 5515-x self power on

Is there a way through the CLI to have the ASA 5515-x power back on after a power failure? Currently, the only way to restore power is to press the power button. The X series does not have a power switch the same as the 5500 series.

Thanks in advance!

And is it possible to set automatic start after power failure by another way?

Hi,

I have just gotten my new ASA5515-X

While I remember these things being asked before, it seems to me that when I have my ASA powered on and cause a power outage, after a short period of time (1-2min) the ASA boots back on without touching the power button at all.

I have still to read anything about this but I would find it very very strange if a power outage at customer premises would require a user to manually boot the unit back on. Just doesnt seem that it could be done is such a bad way?

Actually,

Seems I checked this thing long time ago when I still didnt have any new X -model ASAs.

Power button

A hard switch that turns the system on and off. Once depressed, the button stays in the "on" position:

•On—The power symbol on the button illuminates.

•Off—The power symbol on the button is dark.

For information about the power state, see the "Power Supply Considerations" section.
