Dear All,

Please advise me if cisco ASA 5520 can be upgraded from 8.0(2) TO 9.1(x) directly as 9.1(x) has a new nat configuration.

Also please advise me the effect of natting if the above task is perfomed.

No your ASA5520 can not upgrade directly from 8.0(2) to 9.1(x). Here is some information from Cisco documentation:

If you are upgrading from a pre-8.3 release:

See the Cisco ASA 5500 Migration Guide to Version 8.3 and Later for important information about migrating your configuration.

You cannot upgrade directly to 9.0 or later. You must first upgrade to Version 8.3 or 8.4 for a successful migration.

You can use this link to find additional details
