ASA 5540 telnet connection issue

Hi ALL,

I met a strange issue about ASA 5540 telnet issue ,I can telnet FW successfully ,but after i log in a few minutes ,FW will be no response ,then the telnet will interrupt .  It's very strange ,I checked CPU ,Memory ,logs ,everything looks fine .

My telnet timeout config "telnet timeout 300"

BTW ,SSH is working normal .

I remember ,I met this issue before ,but i forget how did i resolve this issue or how it be normal .

Hi,

I went through the outputs and the only thing i see which might be related would be the denied connections on the ASA evice.

Rest all the things are fine. I also see that the ASA device is running a very old and unstable code :- 8.21 , so i would recommend an upgrade to the 8.2.5 if possible the latest interim and i think that should take care of this issue.
