ASA 8.4 ASDM 6.4 log viewer. Not able see names or filter by name - only IP

Experts,

I have a 5520 with ASA 8.4(1) and ASDM 6.4(1)

In the ASDM log viewer I can only see IP addresses and not names. Not sure if this is by design.

I have the "names" command configured but no ojects defined with the name x.x.x.x description

I figure this is something to do with the 'name' or 'names' command but these seem somewhat irrelevant with the new object definition style.

Is there a simple check box that I've missed somewhere?

Hi,

This is a known issue. It occurs due to the ASA migration from pre-8.3 to post 8.3 versions. Here is the relevant bug:
