I am having trouble booting a cx image on a ASA 5512-X. The ASA is running 9.1.2, the cx software I am trying to boot is 9.1.2(29) and I get an error as per below:
asacx-boot>system install https://www.xyz.com/s/g4xw7wbr8texoku/asacx-sys-9.1.2-29.pkg?dl=0
Verifying
Package need a higher version of application
==================================
The docs say this needs ASA version 9.1.2 which I am running - so what is wrong?
asa-primary/act# session cxsc console
Opening console session with module cxsc.
Connected to module cxsc. Escape character sequence is 'CTRL-^X'.

System image file is "disk0:/asa912-smp-k8.bin"
This link says I should be OK:
Any advice welcome - been spending a lot of time on this, not much in the way of support docs

Hi,
Actually , you need to install 9.1.1-2 first and then upgrade to 9.1.2.

Hi,
Check this compatibility document.
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asacx/compatibility/cx_prsm_comp.html
I think you need to have minimum of ASA 9.1.2.5 and above to run this CX code.
