Hi all!

We have got SSM-4GE module and have a question - what for there is RJ45 port onboard? Photo is included.

I suspect it's a console port for factory service use only. It's definitely not anything that the end user can access.

Sort of like the HDMI form factor ports on FEXes - those are actually serial console ports for factory use only. They made them HDMI so that end users wouldn't try (or if they did, likely wouldn't succeed) to access the on-board Linux those devices have.
