ASA SSM From address

We use a Cisco ASA 5510 with SSM module.

On the CSC Setup - Host/Notification settings menu it is possible to enter Notification settings.

I filled in the administrator email addres but no messages can be send.

Our spamfilter blocks the notification messages because no from address is available.

Does anyone know how to configure a From email address in the SSM module?

On the ASA itself an "logging from-address" is configured but this doesn't solve the problem.

Hope someone can help.

Under the Trend GUI >> Administration >> Connection Settings, do you have the hostname and domain name configured? It should use that for the from address.

Connection Settings

The following fields are display-only:

Host name: The host name for this device, such as antivirus1.example.com

Domain name: The domain name for your organization, such as example.com

IP address: The IP address used by this device

Subnet mask: The subnet mask entered during installation

Default gateway: The default router IP address entered during installation

The following fields can be changed post-installation:

Primary DNS: The IP address for the primary DNS server

Secondary DNS (optional field): The IP address for the secondary DNS server

Thank you for the reply.

I already filled in both the hostname and the domain name but it does not solve the problem.

After further investigation it looks like the sender and recipient address are both the same.

The barracuda block's the message with a spoofing error.

Already changed the "to" address to a different email address.

The CSC still using the "to" e-mail address as "from" e-mail address.

Seems nobody can help me with this one.

Can anyone tell me how to disable general notification messages in the SSM CSC?

there are muliple places where to disable notifications, but i cannot

find where to disable general notifications like the update completed messages he tries to send every day.
