I've got ASA 5555x delivered for my client and the migration scope is to migrate from ASA9.0 to FTD. I've converted ASA configuration using FMC VM on my machine.
When I enable the migration tool on FMC, it gives me following message on FMC.
When i've already reimaged the ASA-x to FTD and now it's time to join to FMC, but the production FMC has already Sourcefire IPS joined.
My concerns are:
1. can i join my FTD to production FMC and import configuration to FTD?
2.Would it affect to my existing Sourcefire configs which is already joined to production FMC?
3.Can i import converted(converted via Test FMC) configuration to my FTD using production FMC. What would be the impact.?
Do not install the migration tool on a production Firepower Management Center. Use of this tool is not supported on production devices. After installing the migration tool, you can uninstall the tool only by reimaging the designated Firepower Management Center
