ASDM has stopped working for no apparent reason

I have an ASA running software version asa804-k8.bin and using ASDM version asdm-615.bin, for some reason I can no longer access the device via ASDM.

I have tried uploading another copy of the ASDM image and a newer version asdm-61551.bin, and still the problem persists, does anyone know what this issue is and how to resolve it. The ASA has been up for over two years and has never had an issue.

I get a Java error - at com.cisco.nm.dice.loader.r.run(DashoA19*..:410), please note I have tried connecting from several PCs.

Regards

Paul

It could be a java update that cause compatibility issues with ASDM.Can you check it?

Also, you can try loading ASDM 6.3.4 (Should work with ASA 8.0), just to see how it looks.

I hope it helps.

Only a reload will correct this situation. If this is a failover pair, you can failover to the other unit. If this is the case pls. open a TAC case to get the code published to your CCO ID.
