Hi,
I want to setup http authentication for ASA 5550 using SDI, Ciurrently i am running 8.05 and this feature is not supported
I have gone through couple of cisco docs and find conflict, One doc says 8.2 supports ASDM authentication using SDI protocol and other mentioned it doesn't support.
This Cisco doc says it doesn't support:
HTTPS management authentication does not support the SDI protocol for a AAA server group.
This Cisco doc says it supports:
Cisco ASDM OTP authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) support: This support allows administrative users to authenticate Cisco ASA appliances and ASDM through OTPs supported by RSA SecureID. This feature addresses security concerns associated with administrators using static passwords for authentication.

Hi Amar,

this is supported in 8.2 in single routed mode only.

For transparent and multi-context modes, there is an enhancement request:

CSCtf23419    ASDM OTP authentication support in multi-context and transparent modes

The note in the command reference is just a leftover  from the 8.0 cmd ref. You can use the "feedback" form at the bottom of the page to  report this to the documentation team.
