ASDM will not send commans to ASA 5510

ASDM will not send commands to the firewall. As soon as I click send I get:

[ERROR] write mem

write mem

^

% Invalid input detected at '^" marker.

no matter what the command is. I had 7.2 w/ ASDM 5.1 originally but now 8.0.2 w/ ADSM 6.1.

CLI commands from console work just fine. Any ideas?

Check for correct date/time.

Date and time are both correct.

I just restored to factory default and started over.
