Bandwidth Limitation on ASA 5520 for Guest Internet

Hello Guys,

Good Morning,

I have 3 mb bandwidth from ISP, and i want to dedicate 1 Mb to guest wireless user rest for internal wireless user on ASA any suggestion...?

pls. suggest from below configuration...if it's ok.

access-list PoliceACLname permit ip 10.0.10.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 any

access-list PoliceACLname permit ip any any time-range test

class-map PoliceClassName
description Policy to limit general traffic usage
match access-list PoliceACLname

policy-map PolicePolicyName
description Policy to limit general traffic usage
class PoliceClassName
  police output 1000000 90000

service-policy PolicePolicyName interface outside

Hi Sanjeev,

I did the same thing using ASDM. Steps are mentioned below:

Go to configuration > firewall > service policy rules

click ADD in the popup menu select the "interface" radio button and select the interface you wish to apply the rate limit to.

Step 1:give it a name, and click next

Step 2:select the "create new traffic class" radio button and give that a name also

Step 3:select the "any traffic" check box

click next

Step 4:select the QoS tab

Step 5:check the "enable policing" checkbox

fill out your rate limit options and apply the policy on the desired interfaces.
