i am a ccnp security student.I am studying disabling the global services portion.
so now i learned to disable the ios small services. But my question is what is the use of
chargen service.
i read that connect to the port and get a “random” amount of “random” characters back.
You can connect on TCP or UDP on port 19, with none/some data, and it will send the “random” data back to you.
i need to know what is the use of "telnet 192.168.1.1 19" command.
Why we telnet using port 19? what is the purpose of this?
