i must say that i havent changed anything and tried to copy the backup config from the flash.what's wrong?i use opendns.

33 Replies 33

if that helps you a cable from the router goes to one switch then a cable to another switch and a cable from switch to outside of the asa, the inside of asa comes from the 2nd switch.i haven't changed anything in the hardware conf it takes ips via dhcp from router.

You've not provided the information I asked for, this will help me determine where the issue may lie.

I am not interested in how the laptop receives the IP address, I want to confirm whether they have the correct default gateway and whether they have the correct DNS settings.

Can the client computers ping 10.0.0.69?

yes it successfuly pings 10.0.0.69

anyway because it's too late in Greece, can you please tell me how to reset to factory defaults?i will start from the scratch in the morning.

w/ the following config i  did from scratch it says and sees network but no internet access.

it is a dns issue, windows 10 network diagnostics says about it.what should i do or i forgot to do?

You've change the inside network again, so your nat rule would not work. You need to amend the nat rule to this:

object network inside
subnet 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0

Have you confirmed the default gateway on the client devices is actually the correct IP address (10.1.1.1)?

If it is you should see the counters increase on the NAT rule and hopefully have internet access (once you've made the change above).

HI!

the commands i need to type are the following which are deprecated, i need you to tell me the equivalent ones

nat (inside) 1ips ips

global (outside) 1 interface

i did the

object network inside
subnet 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0

but i see ethernet takes ips from the royter the outside but not internet access.

all happened after i reseted the password!it was working ok!

I found the solution it's the command route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 but i can't remember the complete command.anyone?

i used to use nat (inside)1 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 and global (outside) 1 interface but they don't work anymore.anyone please?
