Cisco ASA Downgrade from 9.1.7(4) to earlier version 8.4.4(5)

Hi,

I have recently upgraded the firewall from 8.4.4(5) to 9.1.7(4) version. And post the upgrade seems to be some issue , like to know the downgrade procedure to earlier version to 8.4.4(5) from 9.1.7(4).

Hi Alexander,

Downward compatibility is not supported on ASA and i have seen lot of issues while downgrading to the previous versions.

So what I would suggest is to remove the entire config on the ASA and boot the ASA with 8.4.4.5 version and upload the previous best config on 8.4.4.5 code (if you have any backup).
