Hi There,
Is there any link between the licensing and internet access on LAN?
My LAN is "rationing" internet, with scattered internet access for users on the LAN and suspected culprit is my ASA 5505.
Any tips / advice ?

hi,
i don't think this relates to a license issue.
is your ASA multi-homed to several ISP connections and configured a default route for each?
if yes, then this is normal and ASA will load balance your outbound traffic.

Hi,
I cant remember the exact amounts but ASA5505 has both 10 user, 25 user, 50 user and Unlimited License (if I remember the limits correctly) when it comes to the amount of users that can use the ASA5505 at the same time. And I mean access other networks through it.
The interface which holds the default route is considered the WAN link naturally and hosts behind are NOT counted towards this limit.
Check the "show version" output of the ASA to confirm what you licensed user limit is.
Use the command "show local-host" to check how high the limit is currently. The information should be contained at the very top of the output
Hope this helps
