Cisco Software Manager

Hello All,

I have recently applied Smart licenses to the FTDs through the Cisco Software Manager,( the FTD is managed by FMC )  the licenses are applied but from the Software Manager Portal still shows that the Licenses are unused,

when i did some research i found out the i need to create firewall rules from our Dc to allow the FTD to talk to the Cisco Software Manager, but i am not sure how i can do it or which protocol should be allowed on the rules.

Can someone kindly help me how i can allow the FTD to talk to the Cisco Software Manager please?

Thank you.

SS

Hello balaji.bandi,

thank you for the reply, i did go through that documentations during the licenses installation but this is not answering my questions or help me to solve the problem.

Thank you

if you have alrady followed the document, device contact cisco License server using https, do you have opened ports on FW for normal https connection, it should get register.

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

In addition to https (tcp/443) from the FTD management address, you will also need a valid DNS server defined so that FTD can resolve the addresses from the Cisco servers.
