CSCuh23347 - ASATraffic denied and 'licensed host limit of 0 exceeded'

Just wondering if anyone ever run into this bug?

I just did however the funny part is, my ASA has Sec-Plus (50 user) license installed. It was working just fine for last 10-12 months and we did ISP bandwidth upgrade then issue started.

Upgraded to 9.1.5-21 fixed issue...but I guess I just would prefer to know what could possibly caused issue the first place.

Here was the error captured.

Deny traffic for protocol 17 src inside: 10.0.216.20/64429 dst ouside:172.20.182.10/53, licensed host limit of 0 exceeded.

Shuai,

If your ASA was running 8.4.6 then chances are you were hitting the bug and as the bug suggests an upgrade, it fixed for you as well after the upgrade. And if its a but that you were hitting then the cause is the bug.

For further analysis and troubleshooting, please open a TAC case.

Regards,

Kamal
