DDNS modem connect to Firewall ASA-5515x

WSfirewall

Hi all,

I have some questions regarding to the ASA-5515-x.

Please refer to my attached image.

We have some remote stations that will be sending data to the server for data processing and they are using dynamic dns.

For computer, I understand that we can use anyconnect VPN  to remote access to the server. For the remote stations, how should we configure the firewall such that these stations with dynamic dns are able to access to the network?

Please let me know if my questions is unclear, thank you.

Best regards,

Loo

Hi,

If I understand it correctly the remote stations have DDNS and ASA needs to communicate with them.

We just need to make sure ASA is able to resolve the hostnames for these remote stations.

The access-rules on the ASA would be configured on the basis of the FQDN's for these stations as they would keep on changing their IP's.

If ASA is able to resolve them I do not think there would be any issue.

Regards,

Aditya
