It depends on your config if it's that easy as the syntax changes for some commands from version to version.
If you still have a valid config from 8.4, use that one. If not, look at the boot-process if there are any errors.
But why do you want to downgrade? If you have any problems with 9.2, perhaps it's better to solve them.
