Hi forum,

I want the ASA to send Emails for logging purpose, but it seems to me, that the ASA cannot reach the SMTP Server at the vpn sites.

the inside Network is 192.168.61.0/24 and the vpn sites are 192.168.0.0/23. Traffic between the the Network Works fine, but I can neither ping 192.168.1.165 nor send mails to 192.168.1.165 from the ASA.

What do I have to do? Please help

sounds to me the ASA is using another IP address as the source for SMTP, not the .65 inside.

I believe the smtp source interface is not configurable, so could be the outside IP address of your ASA.
