While you can configure an ASA 5555-X running FTD with (up to) 8 interfaces bonded in an Etherchannel, the device itself won't support that much throughput. It will max out at around 1.25 Gbps.

The document appears to be talking about  Firepower 2100, Firepower 4100/9300 devices.

Would it work on the 5555x FTD ?

Yes it is supported. Your FTD needs to be in routed mode (as opposed to
transparent).

how many port channels / combined bandwidth is supported on the 5555x FTD routed mode.

Hi,
Max supported will be 8 redundant interfaces on a working scenarios.
