Extent of FireSIGHT / FirePOWER TA subscription

Question on FireSIGHT / FirePOWER TA subscription license. Sensors come with perpetual Protect and Control licenses but require TA subscription for system updates. 

What is the extent of updates covered by TA license? Is it signatures only? Will SmartNet cover code version updates?

I think the TA subscription gives you access to the signature updates that the software can download itself automatically.

If you want to be able to download anything from cisco.com, like software updates, you'll need a SmartNet.
