Hi,

In order to do a flash upgrade on a 5510, is there any way to get the files from the existing flash onto the new flash before you replace existing flash? Is there an online procedure?

Thanks.

They are just standard CF cards, so all you need is a CF reader to read and write to them.

The 5510 does have two CF slots; one internal and one externally accessible.  Depending on what you are trying to do, you can put the larger card in the externally accessible slot and use that to boot off of.  If you want to sap the card completely, then there are a few things you should do before making the swap; record the activation key and save the config to a file on the CF card.  Copy the images and the config file you saved to it to the new card, boot the 5510, apply the activation key, reload and then copy that saved config file to run.
