FMC 46k HA - after rebuild HA Secondary doesn't register Chassis

Hi,

after a total crash of our FMC 46k HA with v7.4.2 I did a a re-image to v7.4.1.1-12 of both members and restored the backup to the Primary. Everything's well at all, all connected FTDs are there, including the 3110-chassis.

Next step rebuilding the HA - the Secondary registers all FTDs including the Instances running on the 3110 but fails to register both 3110 Chassis of each HA-Cluster. Sec-FMC tried it several times, all without success.

As it's a production environment I don't like to test by deleting the Chassis from FMC and register again because by doing this before I run into an issue that it wasn't possible afterwards registering the Chassis (have to completely setup everything new before it works again ...)

IP Communication doesn't fail, RegKey can only setup by setting up Multi-Instance and is same for registered Instances.

Does anyone has some hints how to solve that the Secondary registers all the Chassis too ?

Best, Marcus

Registering chassis in FMC is q pretty new feature and I am not surprised you are encountering what is most likely a bug with the feature - especially with FMC HA - a not-often-seen deployment type.

I would go straight to Cisco TAC with this issue.
