FMC Backup & Restore Migration: Config Migrated

Dear All,

We have a virtual FMC running 6.2.3.10 and managing two FTDs in HA pair.

I am planning to migrate it to another vFMC with the same version. I planned to do a backup and restore.

I have a few doubts:

1) Will be the interface configuration migrated to new FMC?

2) Will it be migrated the policies and objects?

3) Will it be migrated the static routing?

4) will it be migrated the NAT configuration?

5) Will it be migrated integration configurations (like ISE, Estreamer, AMP, ThreatGrid etc)?

Thanks All

Hi,

Is there a possibility to migrate the VM from one host to another ? For example in vcenter environment, we can move the vm from one hist to another directly.

here is one of the discussion and notes as suggested :

https://community.cisco.com/t5/firepower/moving-cisco-fmc-ovf-file-from-a-host-esxi-v5-5-to-another-host/m-p/3999207#M16104

Make sure you take the backup config out of the box from FMC

As Long as FMC is able to reachable to FTD with the same IP address you are good.

All config will be Migrated in terms of FMC integrated with FTD here.

Make sure no changes while migrating process in place either from the FTD side or FMC side.

As i have mentioned other posts (IP and MAC should be the same for the License to work, so make sure MAC as the same.

Last note: Turn off OLD FMC(do not remove), until all success on new FMC works.
