Hi All,

I’m converting an FTD code to ASA on a Firepower 1140. I downloaded the ASA image via USB and have console access, but when I try to install it, I get an “invalid version” error - as per attached images. Can you help me identify what I might be missing or doing wrong and share the correct steps?

Two things:

  1. Did you follow the re
  2. Based on your screenshot, your syntax for installing the ASA software is incorrect as you are using the full image name. Instead, you are supposed to use the version string only. Use the "show package" command to list the versions of the downloaded image/s and then "install security-pack version version" command to start the installation process. Again, based on your screenshot it should be "install security-pack version 9.20.3"
