FTP inline with my ASA

 I am trying to  figure out the best way to do this. 

I have a pair of ASA with an old IPS module in them . I have a Pair of 4110's. I want to put the 4110's inline with the ASA to snort the traffic then send it back to the ASA. I want to know how that configuration would look like. I am having a hard time figuring this out.

You would need to configure routing/switching on the ASA to send traffic to
the 'offloaded' IPS (4110). I don't know this would work in theory.

I would strongly recommend a different approach; either,

1) Place the 4110 between the ASA and Switch (transparent inline mode)
2) Replace the ASA with the 4110 and use Firewalling & IPS (SNORT) on one
box
