Hi All

What would be the best and most easiest way of migrating my config from my 5520 firewalls to a new pair of 5545X.

They both have a similar code on them

cheers

Hello Carl,

Cisco has a very nice migration tool here: Cisco App Launcher, but it requires at least CCO account, so in theory you should not have an issue accessing it. It is basically designed for migrating from 8.2 to higher ASA software versions.

Be careful, because if you are moving from 8.2 to newer version the NAT conversion some times might need some hands on work, so check through them manually as well.

Also make sure the licenses of your new firewall are in par with the old one, as you do not want to suddenly find out that you cannot connect more than X number of remote access VPNs for example, if you are using the firewall for user VPN as well.

Finally https://www.tunnelsup.com/tools/ might be helpful during any ASA migration project.

Hope that  helps
