How to setup XDMCP pass pix firewall

Hi there

We are experiencing problems connecting to Sun Solaris machines

through a Cisco PIX 525 firewall(IOS 6.2). In our initial testing, our firewall

administrator opened all ports(TCP, UDP, XDMCP) and allowed all traffic from any IP address. However, we

cannot connect with Exceed X-Windows applications. Our Cisco PIX firewall is not

configured to do NAT.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I found this on the cisco website:

XDMCP

The PIX Firewall supports connections using XDMCP (X Display Manager Control Protocol) using the established command. This feature uses an XWindows TCP back connection fixup, which negotiates an XWindows session and creates an embryonic connection at destination port 6000. XDMCP handling is enabled by default, which is the same as other UDP fixups.
