Impact of changing Virtual Router for FTD Interfaces

I am using FTD 3110 managed by FMC 7.6. I have interfaces in production for Guest Access and I want to assign them to a separate Virtual Router to segregate the traffic for guest on routing level. What is the impact of that in the production? Will there be a downtime?

Unless you have a dedicated outside interface and gateway for the guest network you will be doing route leaking to the "outside" interface.

Have a read through this configuration document, it should give you a view of what needs to be in place.

If you have set everything up correctly there should be little to no downtime.  You might see a blip in traffic but should not be more than that.

Hi Marius, Thanks for the quick response. Would you please elaborate what everything you are referring here? I have 2 internet interfaces where I am doing load sharing using ECMP. Please suggest what all things should I check first. If there is any traffic disruption?
