Testing throughput using iperf, inbound around 28 Mbps - outbound around 40 Mbps. Any ideas why?

More info:

525 FO

6.3(5)

Memory Util: 30%

CPU: Under 5%

Typical traffic flow: 2 ISP connections totaling 5 Mbps. Web traffic initiated from inside - around .5 Mbps on avg. IPSec VPN terminated on PIX - 30 peers total. In short, most traffic is inbound.

Outside connection: 100 Full

Inside connection: 100 Full

Are you directly connected to the pix interfaces or are they going through some other device?

switches - which I've tested using iperf also... get about 93 Mbps on 100 Mbps connections
