Info about ASA with FirePower....

Hì,

we are evaluate this ASA model: ASA5508-FPWR-BUN.

We need a device with integrated FirePower services, for a small network without any server installed.

Or possiblity of install any type of hardware different by network device type.

This model contain a FirePower module, that must be connected anyway to external (virtual or physical...) FirePower Management Center,

or it's a "autonomous" device, that can work independently also without dedicated Management Center?

Hi,

FirePOWER services run as a software module on the 5508 hardware.

You can use the ASDM to manage some of the features of the firepower module or use firepower management centre to manage the Firepower services.

So, if I understand really, with 5508-x hardware, we can use ALL Fire Power services,

also without management centre on a separate server....

hi 

U can manage the services(IPS, AMP and URL Filter services) with ASDM,dont think it has history logs.

The subscription fees apply to some of the services like IPS and AMP
