All,
We have an issue where some of the vpn clients register in DNS and some don't when connecting to a 5520. Is there an option on the 5520 that will always register for the client?
We have a local pool on the asa that hands out addresses. The clients don't always register with the domain controller, so you can't ping them by name, but when they do register, you can. Anyone ever seen this before?
Thanks!
John

John-
Are you also handing out the domain name? This sounds more like a DNS resolve issue than a registering with the domain via ASA DNS issue :-)

Collin,
Right after I posted this I noticed that I wasn't. We're going to try that later today, but the person actually testing it thinks it has something to do with the different versions of vpn client. We have some boxes that have the 3.x client, and they're the ones that don't seem to work.
I'll let you know if doing the dns thing fixes it though.
Thanks!
