On our ASA 5508-x firewall, we have a requirement to take Broadcast traffic in one of the interfaces with security level 100 and place it on the outside but as multicast and on specific port.
The questions is: is IP multicast helper-map broadcast supported on the ASA-5508-x firewalls?
Details:
inside Interface or Node with UDP Broadcast traffic and port 3000
Outside interface: Must present traffic as multicast on port 5656
I tried using the "IP multicast helper-map broadcast.." on the inside interface
and
"ip forward-protocol udp [port]" on the firewall
but the system rejects the IP multicast helper-map broadcast.
Could you please confirm if IP multicast helper-map broadcast is supported on ASA-5508-x firewalls.
