licencing for FTD on CDO

Hi All

I will be adding another FTD into our CDO platform, however the licence for the new unit sits in a different virtual smart account than the current one.

Do I just click on claim subscription ? how would I link the licence in this other smart account to the new FTD?

Cheers

A given tenant in Cisco Security Cloud Control (SCC - new name for CDO plus some other bits) uses a single Smart Account plus virtual account for its cloud-delivered FMC. If you cannot move the new license into the same virtual account, then it must use a separate SCC tenant.

Hi Marvin

thanks for the reply, I’ll move it to the same virtual account

do I still need to go to the main screen and click claim subscription under platform?

or will it just appear if I move it under the same smart account. ?

cheers

I'm not positive on the process in SCC for adding devices to an existing registered account. You can always check the SCCM dashboard at software.cisco.com to ensure the expected licenses are being consumed.
