Need IPS to email automated alerts

I have a

Cisco Intrusion Prevention System, Version 7.0(6)E4

And I am wonder how I can have it email out automated alerts?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Sorry i should have included that it is a module that is inside a Cisco ASA 5510

The only way to make it happen it's using IME,

There is an option to email that kind of information
