Hi,
I need to recover CISCO ASA Firewall password without any changing of existing configuration.
Please find the below below steps that I am going to follow:
rommon #0> confreg
Current Configuration Register: 0x00000001
Do you wish to change this configureation? y/n [n]: y
enable boot to ROMMON prompt? y/n [n]: n
enable TFTP netboot? y/n [n]: n
ebable Flash boot? y/n [n]:n
select specific Flash image index? y/n [n]: n
disable system configuration? y/n [n]: y
go to ROMON prompt if netboot fails? y/n [n]: n
enable passing NVRAM file spece in auto-boot mode? y/n [n]: n
disable display of BREAK or ESC key prompt during auto-boot? y/n [n]: n
rommon #1> boot
ciscoasa> enable
Password:
ciscoasa# copy start run
ASA# config terminal
ASA(config)# password <NEW PASSWORD>
ASA(config)# enable password <NEW PASSWORD>
ASA(config)# username admin password <NEW PASSWORD>
ASA(config)# config-register 0x00000001
ASA(config)# copy run start
ASA(config)# reload
Please advise the steps are ok or not.
