Nexus 9000v licensing

Hi all;

Does Nexus 9000v need special license to be installed for full functionality in the lab environment?

I installed 3 of them with basic BGP and basic OSPF works but I got messages while enabling PIM feauture stating that I need to install license! Besides, I've connected one CSR 1000v router to a L2 port on one Nexus 9000v switch but I cannot see its MAC address on Nexus device (ports are enabled and in Access mode). But two mentioned devices see each other in CDP neighbor table. Is it something related to license or what?

Hello,

In order to see the MAC address table please use "show system internal l2fwder mac".

Which version are you using? The latest version runs PIM without license. Please make sure "feature pim" is enabled in global config.
