Hi all..

Here I got a problem, several of our applications need to do broadcast to specific subnet for any purposes. Please give me suggestions for how to bypass the broadcast traffic through PIX?

I have a similar problem. I want a PIX to do an IP directed broadcast.

This would mean the PIX has to receieve a packet sent to the IP broadcast address and create an ethernet header with an ethernet broadcast address and forward the packet.

Have you found an answer to your broadcast problem?

The pix is not able to pass broadcast traffic through.

Done it!

In my case all I needed to do was add:

static 10.64.21.255 10.64.21.255

My packets were actually originating from outside via a VPN from the central site.

Rating anyone?
