Hello,

When you say single armed mode I'm assuming that you mean a router on a stick where all the traffic comes to and leaves out of a single interface. If this is what your wanting to do then no a 506e with 6.x and below does not have the ability to let traffic that has arrived on an interface leave the same interface.

I see no Reason to to this unless u absolutly have only one interface available on your switch.

since release 6.3.(4) u are able to configure 1 extra vlan interface on the 506e.

so u could trunk the switch with the pix en firewall between the two vlans.

Troughput for both vlans is ofcourse Limited by the fysical interface.
